A safe space for domestic abuse survivors navigating family courts
Building strength, hope, and connection for those who need it most.
You are not alone
We are a survivor-led community with lived experience of both domestic abuse and the court system, standing together with compassion and strength.
While we do not offer legal advice or representation, we recognise that even with excellent legal support, survivors can face the court process feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and emotionally unsupported.
We understand how the system can sometimes be used as another form of abuse — and we’re here to walk beside survivors with understanding, courage, and hope for change.
Definition of Domestic Abuse
Domestic abuse (also known as domestic violence or intimate partner violence) is any incident or pattern of controlling, coercive, threatening, degrading, or violent behaviour between people in a close relationship. It can occur between partners, family members, or people living in the same household.
Domestic abuse is never the victim’s fault, and support is available for anyone affected.
Domestic Abuse can take many forms, including:
Physical Abuse
Hitting, slapping, pushing, or any use of physical force
Emotional Abuse
Intimidation, humiliation, threats, or controlling behaviour
Sexual Abuse
Any unwanted sexual activity or coercion
Financial Abuse
Controlling access to money or resources, preventing someone from working or using their own funds.
Digital Abuse
Using technology to monitor, threaten, or harass someone.
